Independently Owned Palm Court Hotel Nears Completion Of £500k Refurbishment
An Aberdeen Hotel has unveiled its new look bedroom and function spaces, the result of a programme of significant investment which started in October and has spanned several months.
The Hotel, which is one of the longest operating independent hotels in the city, is popular with travellers for both leisure and business; but almost 15 years since it’s last large scale refurbishment, operators G1 Group decided to undertake an ambitious scheme which would see almost all of it spaces transformed completely.
The hotels 23 bedrooms have been overhauled entirely and now feature bespoke furniture, all new soft textiles, and a tonne of new amenities such as USB charging points and 45-55 inch TVs; the newly designed rooms feature tones of calming blue and neutrals. The bathrooms have also been fully refitted, and guests can expect walk in rainfall showers, high quality marble effect finishes and premium bathroom products from the company’s social enterprise partner, The Soap Co. G1 worked with a number of local and international suppliers on the interiors, including Nkuku, Morris & Co, and Pooky Lighting.
With all bedrooms now complete, work on the function spaces is also well underway, with the two more intimate room’s already complete and taking bookings. With the two remaining larger rooms to follow soon, the revamped spaces will feature a natural colour palette, newly redesigned bars, and beautiful finishing touches including wood panelling to the walls. Corporate clients can expect premium features including concealed 58 inch smart TVs within the meeting spaces. Already a firm favourite for weddings, celebrations and conferences, the upgrades are sure to go down well with both local and visiting customer bases.
